Bots are able to build items by building them based off of the recommended item tab, which updates in response to the changes of the level. Before, game engines required bots to follow a set build path and purchased items with identical effect across all titles. This table highlights which items are bought by bots first.

Can’t Add Bots To Custom Game On League Of Legends? The bots go to the lane you create, regardless of whether either player is humans. I like to try out wierd builds in customs against bot’s first instead heading straight into a game and play like a troll. But with the new Launcher, I can’t find the option to add Bots to a custom game: Am I missing something or have they removed this option?

The lane the bot goes in depends on the order they appear when you “Add Bot” when making the custom game. For example if you had you, Soraka, and Sivir on your side, in that order going down, and Soraka, Sivir, and someone you want to lane against in that order going down, then you will have to run middle lane to face your opponent.

Hit Play, go to Custom, go to Create game. Set up how you wish (add a pw if you just want it to be you and bots).

When adding bots to your custom game, disregarding any humans players on either team, the bots will go to a lane as follows: 1st and 4th bots go bottom, 2nd and 5th bots go top, and 3rd bot goes mid. The bots will, however, consider where players have gone once minions spawn and they will fill in the appropriate lanes based on that.

No you can’t. It is a part of bot AI and they choose on their own where to go. edit: this answer is out of date and as gbn stated in his answer, apparently the lane decision works a little different now: “Custom game bots now adjust to players’ initial laning decisions before the first minion wave spawns”.
